AdvanceRIT Team Members to Present at 2016 NSF/GSE Program Workshop: Research, Interventions, Impact
This year, Drs. olgilvie, Crawford, Schley, Beiter, and Blizzard have been chosen to hold sessions in the NSF ADVANCE/GSE Workshop in Baltimore. MD.
Drs. olgilvie and Crawford will be holding a session entitled “Promotion & Tenure Strategies for Minority-women Academics at RIT for Transformative Success” on May 23rd from 5:45 PM to 6:45 PM.
Drs. Schley, Beiter, and Blizzard will hold a session entitled “Pushback! Responding to Challenges to Restricted Access Events: The Case of Deaf and Hard of Hearing Women Faculty” on May 24th from 8:30 AM to 10:00 AM.
The 2016 NSF ADVANCE/GSE Workshop Broadening Participation: Research, Interventions, Impact will be held from May 22nd to the 24th in Baltimore, MD. Its purpose is to bring together the NSF ADVANCE and the Research on Gender in Science and Engineering (GSE) communities to discuss research and development work that synthesizes quantitative and qualitative approaches affecting gender composition and representation at all levels in STEM education and STEM education workplaces.
