Dr. Christopher Lee Leading Provost’s Retreat with Directors and Chairs

On April 18th, from 8:30 AM to 12 PM in the Bamboo Room, located in Room 2610/2650 in the Campus Center, Dr. Christopher Lee will be holding an interactive session regarding faculty development. He will be discussing tools to support productive dialogue among faculty and academic department and center leaders. In this session, participants will learn about:

  • Recognizing various roles, relationships, and responsibilities with faculty performance improvement
  • Effective strategies to frame the context for productive performance discussions
  • Determining best practices and approaches in planning, preparing for and conducting effective performance conversations
  • Identifying techniques to engage faculty in professional growth activities and alignment with strategic directions
Dr. Christopher Lee is a human resources practitioner, lecturer, and author with 20 years of experience in higher education. He has served as the chief HR officer for three different colleges and universities and a state college system. He has consulted with clients in the United States, Canada, Australia, and South Africa. He has authored many articles and three books on HR related topics. The second edition of Dr. Lee’s book on the search committee process will be published on May 27th.
